BEF Organizes TOT Seminar on Gender Responsive Quality Apprenticeship

Bangladesh Employers’ Federation (BEF), in collaboration with the ProGRESS Project of ILO, Country Office for Bangladesh, is organizing a 3-days long Training of Trainers (TOT) Seminar on Gender Responsive Quality Apprenticeship on February 13-15, 2024 at its Motijheel office. The objectives of the program include promoting gender responsive quality apprenticeship, exchanging knowledge and good practices related to the regulation and promotion of quality apprenticeships and processing designs to nurture apprenticeship program implementation for companies. Moreover, the program is expected to strengthen the capacity of trainers to provide cost-effective quality apprenticeship program for both formal and informal sectors through a comprehensive manner.

 

Mr. Farooq Ahmed, the Secretary-General & CEO of the Bangladesh Employers’ Federation (BEF), extended a warm welcome to the attendees at the inaugural session of the program. Mr. Pedro Jr. Bellen, Chief Technical Advisor, ProGRESS Project, ILO Country Office, shared the objectives and outcomes of this program. Mr. Tahmid Ahmed, Vice-President of BEF, provided insights into the current state of Apprenticeship Program in Bangladesh. Mr. Feroz Molla, TVET specialist, Mr. A.N.M. Tanjel Ahsan, National Program Officer, ProGRESS project of ILO and Mr. Joha Jamilur Rahman, Head of Training, BEF, are facilitating the sessions. A total 20 participants from various organizations including NSDA, BTEB, BMET, NCCWE and ISCs (Female-05, Male-15) attended the program.
