Training of Trainers (ToT) on Strengthening Advisory Capacity on Labour Law Compliance, HRDD, and RBC

The Bangladesh Employers’ Federation, with technical assistance from the Labour Administration and Working Conditions (LAWC) Cluster of the ILO Country Office for Bangladesh, launched a three-day Training of Trainers (ToT) programme on “Strengthening Advisory Capacity on Labour Law Compliance, Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD), and Responsible Business Conduct (RBC)” from October 28–30, 2025, at the MCCI Conference Hall, Motijheel, Dhaka. The initiative was supported under the Team Europe Initiative (TEI) on Decent Work in Bangladesh, funded by the European Union, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Sweden.

The training aimed to enhance the capacity of members of BEF’s Labour Law and Regulatory Affairs Cell (LLRAC) and HR professionals from selected business sectors to promote compliance, decent work, and responsible business practices within their organizations. It underscored the importance of aligning business operations with the Bangladesh Labour Act (BLA), International Labour Standards (ILS), HRDD, and RBC principles, fostering a culture of ethical, transparent, and fair labor governance.

Through interactive lectures, group discussions, and case-based learning, participants examined the BLA and ILS frameworks, sharing best practices on RBC and HRDD, and developing strategies to strengthen the advisory and compliance capacities of BEF’s LLRAC.

A total of 27 participants, including LLRAC members and HR professionals from various business sectors, attended the training.
