BEF Organizes Policy Dialogue on Future Skills Need in Bangladesh

Bangladesh Employers’ Federation (BEF), in collaboration with the ProGRESS Project of the ILO Country Office for Bangladesh, organized and conducted a day-long Policy Dialogue Session on “Future Skills Need in Bangladesh” on 30 January 2024 at its Gulshan office. The objectives of the session were to (i) foster insightful discussions among key stakeholders regarding the identification and preparation required to adequately meet the evolving skills demands of the future workforce in Bangladesh, and (ii) explore innovative approaches, share best practices, and propose actionable recommendations for a more robust, skill-oriented workforce in Bangladesh. Mr. Farooq Ahmed, Secretary-General & CEO, BEF, welcomed the guests and participants to the session. Mr. Pedro Jr. Bellen, Chief Technical Advisor, ProGRESS Project, ILO Country Office, shared the objectives and outcomes of the workshop. Mr. Tahmid Ahmed, the Vice President, BEF, made the opening remarks. The dialogue session was moderated by Mr. A.N.M. Tanjel Ahsan, National Program Officer, ProGRESS project of ILO and Mr. Joha Jamilur Rahman, Head of Training, BEF. A total of 29 participants (Female-06, Male-23) attended the event.
