Bangladesh Employers’ Federation (BEF) President Mr. Ardashir Kabir, the International Labour Organization (ILO) Country Director Mr. Tuomo Poutiainen and his colleagues paid a courtesy call to Mr. Md. Jashim Uddin, President of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI) at his office on Monday, 22 November 2021. The purpose was to set out a strategy for Enhanced Engagement of BEF and FBCCI in United Nations Country Programming. Expanded collaboration involving the United Nations Country Team (UNCT), BEF, and FBCCI will strengthen Bangladesh’s continued progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and COVID-19 recovery while also bringing benefits to both employers and the UNCT by ensuring that Bangladesh’s new Common Country Analysis (CCA) and Cooperation Framework (CF) are more inclusive and extroverted, representing employers’ views and concerns, while benefiting from their in-country expertise, research, and data/statistics.
