BEF organized a Validation Workshop on Finalization of Gender-Responsive Regulatory Framework and Generic Template for Public-Private Partnership (PPP) in TVET

Bangladesh Employers’ Federation (BEF), in collaboration with the ProGRESS Project of the ILO Country Office for Bangladesh, organized and conducted a daylong “Validation Workshop on Finalization of Gender-Responsive Regulatory Framework and Generic Template for Public-Private Partnership (PPP) in TVET” on September 23, 2025, at the Conference Hall, MCCI, Police Plaza, Gulshan, Dhaka. The objectives of the workshop were to bring together Government officials, TVET professionals, Business Leaders to review, validate, and finalize the gender-responsive regulatory framework and generic MoU template for PPPs in TVET, ensuring they reflect the needs of all stakeholders and are ready for national implementation.

Mr. Tahmid Ahmed, Vice-President of BEF, welcomed the guests and participants, outlining the objectives of the workshop. Mr. Muhammad Rafiqul Islam, Secretary of the Technical and Madrasah Education Division (TMED), delivered his remarks as the Chief Guest. Statements were also shared by Mr. Max Tunon, Country Director Designate of the ILO Country Office for Bangladesh; Engr. Md. Ruhul Amin, Chairman of the Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB); Mr. Shamshur Rahman Khan, Additional Secretary of TMED; and Mr. Abul Khair Md. Akkas Ali, Director General (Additional Secretary) of the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE).

Mr. Syed Abdul Aziz, TVET Consultant, delivered the keynote presentation, followed by group work sessions among participants. Mr. Pedro Jr. Bellen, Chief Technical Advisor of the ProGRESS Project, ILO presented a summary of the discussions and outlined the way forward.

A total of 32 participants (26 male and 06 female) attended the workshop.
