BEF Organized a Series of Workshops on the Skills Matching System

The Bangladesh Employers’ Federation (BEF), in collaboration with the ProGRESS Project of the International Labour Organization (ILO), Country Office for Bangladesh, organized three workshops on the Skills Matching System with employers, women entrepreneurs, TVET institutions, and job seekers during 29–30 June 2026 at the Chittagong Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CWCCI) and Chittagong Polytechnic Institute.The workshops aimed to test and validate the functionality and usability of the newly developed Skills Matching System, assess its effectiveness in matching workforce skills with industry demand, gather user feedback for further improvement, and promote the Skills Needs Anticipation (SNA) approach among key stakeholders.The software development team demonstrated the platform, allowing participants to assess its practical applicability and provide feedback on its functionality, user experience, and scalability. Interactive discussions enabled stakeholders to share their experiences and recommendations for strengthening the system to better support evidence-based workforce planning.The sessions were facilitated by Mr. Joha Jamilur Rahman, Head of Training, BEF; Mr. Md. Wasfi Tamim, National Programme Officer (Private Sector Engagement), ILO; and Mr. Tanjel Ahsan, Senior Programme Officer, ProGRESS Project, ILO.Around 53 participants, including employers, women entrepreneurs, representatives from TVET institutions, and job seekers, actively participated in the workshops, contributing valuable insights to help refine the Skills Matching System and strengthen skills matching initiatives in Bangladesh.YOUR POST DESCRIPTION TEXT GOES HERE.
