Bangladesh Employers’ Federation (BEF), with support from the International Labour Organization (ILO) Reintegration for Migrant Workers Project and the Government of Switzerland, successfully organized a Capacity Building Program for the Private Sector on Job Placement and Reintegration of Return Migrant Workers on Thursday, 29 May 2025, at MCCI’s Gulshan Office, Dhaka.
The program aimed to enhance the capacity of private sector stakeholders in understanding the importance of sustainable reintegration and effective job placement for return migrant workers. It featured a PowerPoint presentation from BEF, interactive group sessions, practical insights, and collaborative discussions to promote inclusive labor market reintegration.
Mr. Asif Ayub, Joint Secretary-General of BEF, inaugurated the event and welcomed the participants. The session included expert contributions from the ILO and key industry representatives, with participation from BIHA, BROA, BAPA, Tourism & Hotel Management ISC, and Construction ISC.
This initiative served as a platform for knowledge exchange and strategic dialogue, reinforcing the vital role of the private sector in creating meaningful employment pathways that align with the skills and aspirations of return migrant workers.
