Bangladesh Employers’ Federation (BEF), in collaboration with the ILO, Country Office for Bangladesh and NASCIB, Sylhet, is organizing a 3 day-long “Training on Formalize Your Business for Informal Enterprises” during 24-26 June 2025 at Conference Hall, Hotel Valley Garden, Sylhet Tower, Subhani Ghat, Bishwa Road, Sylhet. The training aims to promote business formalization by enhancing participants’ understanding of its benefits, processes, and challenges, while equipping informal entrepreneurs with practical steps for formalizing their businesses.
Mr. Joha Jamilur Rahman, FYB trainer, ILO and Head of Training, BEF is facilitating the training program as resource person. He has started the session by outlining the training objectives and expected outcomes, employing participatory methods to engage attendees throughout the training session.
Mr. Alimul Ahsan Chowdhury, President of NASCIB, Sylhet, chaired the inaugural session, extending a warm welcome to attendees and sharing the private sector’s views on formalization. Owners and managers of informal cottage, micro, and small enterprises, as well as aspiring entrepreneurs from the Sylhet region are actively taking part in the event. A total of 23 participants (Female-11, Male-12) from priority sectors including Agriculture, Tourism, ICT, Platform-Based Entrepreneurs are participating in the training program.
