CPD, Bangladesh Employers’ Federation (BEF), and Business and Human Rights in Asia (B+HR Asia) UNDP jointly organized a roundtable discussion titled “Strengthening Business and Human Rights from the Private Sector Perspective” on December 18, 2021. The purpose of this event was to disseminate the UNDP-CPD study findings on “Enhancing Stakeholder Engagement for Business and Human Rights in Bangladesh” and engage with the private sector to receive significant input to develop the National Action Plan in this regard.

Dr. Harpreet Kaur, Business and Human Rights Specialist, UNDP Asia Pacific; Mr. Mohammad Hatem, Executive President, BKMEA; and Ms. Shusmita Anis, Vice-President, Bangladesh Employers’ Federation (BEF) and Managing Director, ACI Formulations Limited attended the event as special guests. A total number of 30 participants representing various business entities participated at the roundtable discussion.
