Bangladesh Employers’ Federation (BEF), in collaboration with Feni Polytechnic Institute (FPI), Foleshwer, Feni, with the technical support from Skills 21 Project of the ILO, Dhaka, organized and conducted a day-long Incubating Entrepreneurs’ “PITCH WORKSHOP” with startup entrepreneurs on 26 May 2022 at Conference Hall, FPI, Feni.
The objectives of the program were to
(i) facilitate the presentation of business ideas by the startup youth entrepreneurs in front of an expert panel comprising Chambers of Commerce, Employers, ILO, BEF, and Govt. officials, and
(ii) facilitate the learning and experience sharing of the boot camp participants to pitch their startup ideas.
Mr. Joha Jamilur Rahman, Sr. Training Coordinator, BEF and Mr. Ruman Ishtiak Rafeen, SME Specialist, facilitated the workshop. 25 incubates presented their start-up ideas. The resource panel evaluated all the ideas and announced the top 3 participants as champions.
Mr. Engr. Pradipta Khisa, Principal, Feni Polytechnic Institute (FPI) chaired the closing session. Mr. Farooq Ahmed, Secretary-General & CEO, BEF and Mr. Gunjan Dallakoti, Deputy Country Director, ILO attended online as special guests and also made presentations. Mr. Mainuddin Ahmed, Managing Director, Samsuddin Towels Ltd, Mr. Arabinda Das, AGM, BSCIC, Feni, and Mr. Kh. Shahansha, Manager, BRAC Bank attended as evaluators.
